Open/Universal flare systems
Flare systems are installed at oil and gas processing plants for smokeless/sootless combustion of combustible and dangerous gases or vapors as a result of its periodic, emergency or constant relief.
The main task of flare systems at plants is to prevent the gas entering in atmosphere by burning the gas. Gases and vapors can enter the flare system from process units from safety valves in emergency situations, as well as the gases and vapors can be constantly generated and then directed to the flare (as per the process) for combustion due to purge and relief.
Flare systems can be general or separate. General flare systems burn the gases from the general relief of all process units at the plant. Separate flare systems ensure the combustion of waste gases from a single process unit.
