Column equipment — vertical cylindrical vessels constant or variable section, equipped with internal heat and mass transfer devices (trays or packing), as well as auxiliary nodes (the input of liquid and vapor, liquid and vapor distributors, storage devices for collecting fluid devices to accommodate the packing elements etc.), provides a process (distillation, absorption, extractive distillation, extraction (by reaction to liquid-liquid), direct heat exchange between the steam (gas) and liquid et al.).

In the columns, working under pressure, the pressure at the top can reach values of several atmospheres to several tens of atmospheres.
Construction of vessels and devices are manufactured and transported in parts to be assembled on site.
Supplied with the column equipment (process units) in addition to building and technological structures includes all required project valves and Instrumentation.
The kit of vessel include:
- assembly parts shells and bottoms;
- separately transportable parts with flanges, working gaskets and fasteners that do not require replacement of the installation;
- accessories and spare parts (as specified in the technical documentation);
- foundation bolts for securing the vessel design position (as specified in the technical documentation);
- welding materials and metal plate for control testing of welds
- documentation.

The estimated service life of the apparatus must be specified in the technical specifications when ordering and is selected from the following range: 10, 15, 20 years.
The warranty period is not less than 18 months from the date of entry of the vessel into operation.
